And in addition to that, PS4 Pro and Xbox One X owners will finally be able to play Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel in 4k with HDR. Even better, if you already own the original Borderlands on Steam, you get upgraded to Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition for free.Īlso landing on 3rd April is free DLC for Borderlands: The Handsome Jack Collection that gives it a bit of a visual makeover. If you’re a PC gamer, don’t worry, all the enhancements found in Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition are also coming to the PC version of the game. Oh, and before we forget, you can customise your Borderlands Vault Hunter beyond just choosing their colour scheme now as well.
And the Golden Chest from Borderlands 2 has been implemented. With brand new weapons, substantial visual upgrades, quality of life improvements, all four add-on packs, and more. There are some new legendary weapons added into the mix, too. Gearbox and 2K reveal Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition. A new mini-map has been implemented, the final boss battle has been made better, and items such as ammo, money and health are now picked up automatically. The improvements don’t end with the visuals though. PS4 Pro and Xbox One X owners will be able to play the game in 4K with HDR, though graphical enhancements mean that Borderlands and all of its DLC will look great even on base consoles.
It shouldn’t come as much of a surprise since the trophies for it were leaked quite a while ago, but the original Borderlands is making its way to current-gen consoles.īorderlands: Game of the Year Edition launches on PS4 and Xbox One on 3rd April – that’s less than a week away.
